Precious Moments founding artist Samuel J. Butcher’s artwork has always been inspired by faith, family, and friends. His soulful illustrations of children with teardrop-shaped eyes were first featured on popular greeting cards…in 1978, the Original 21 Precious Moments figurines were released to worldwide acclaim and a new collecting and gift-giving tradition was born. Around the world, Precious Moments became known for its beautiful, hand-painted porcelain bisque figurines featuring children with captivating teardrop-shaped eyes. 

In recent years, through many efforts and those licensing partners, the Precious Moments product line has expanded to include baby clothes, children’s books, nursery décor, eco-friendly toddler mealtime sets, home décor, home entertaining and serve-ware, garden décor, and more.
